Beaded Pouch

The bead weavers of "Chonita," named after the founder, work painstakingly to produce exquisite jewelry in Santiago on Lake Atitlan. They are desperately poor Tzutujil Mayans and their work and fair wages helps them feed their families. A portion of the profits go to a project to feed the elders in the community with no family and for scholarships for children to go to school.
